Most FNP students study hard. They read the textbooks, watch the videos, grind through question banks. And many of them still fail. Not because they didn't work hard enough — but because they were working without a strategy.
That's the gap our 1:1 sessions are designed to close.

The Premortem Strategy Session is a 60-minute, one-on-one coaching call designed to happen before you start your serious board prep. The name comes from a concept in decision science: a premortem asks, "If this project fails, what will have caused it?" Applied to board prep, it means we sit down together and ask: "If you fail this exam, what is most likely to cause it?"
That question is uncomfortable — but it's the most important one you can answer before you start studying.
During the session, we work through four things:
Your baseline. Where are you right now? What's your practice exam score? Which domains are you strong in, and which are you losing points in? Most students come in thinking they know their weak areas — and most of them are wrong.
Your timeline. How many weeks do you have until your exam? What does your life look like during that time — are you working full-time, do you have kids, are you in a clinical rotation? Your study plan has to fit your actual life, not a theoretical one.
Your learning style. Are you a visual learner who needs mind maps and diagrams? A verbal learner who needs to talk through concepts? A kinesthetic learner who needs to write things out? The best study system is the one that matches how your brain actually works.
Your highest-yield gaps. Based on your baseline and timeline, we identify the 3–5 areas that will give you the highest return on your study time. Not everything is equally important. We build your plan around what matters most.
The Post Mortem Review Session is the mirror image of the Premortem — it happens after you've completed a significant block of studying, typically after finishing a full practice exam or reaching the midpoint of your prep.
The name is intentional. A post mortem asks: "What happened, and why?" In board prep terms, that means sitting down with your practice exam data and asking: "Where did I lose points, and what does that tell me about what I need to do differently?"
Most students take a practice exam, see their score, feel good or bad about it, and move on. That's a waste of one of the most valuable learning tools in your prep. The score is almost irrelevant — what matters is the pattern in your wrong answers.
