Why the FNP Review Video Course Is Different

There are a lot of FNP board review courses. Most of them work the same way: a faculty member reads slides at you for several hours, you try to write everything down, and then you hope enough of it sticks by exam day.

The FNP Review Video Course was built on a different premise entirely.

The Problem With Most Board Prep

The AANP and ANCC exams are not knowledge tests. They are clinical reasoning tests.

Every question on the FNP boards is designed to assess whether you can think like a clinician — not whether you can recall a fact. The questions present a patient scenario, and your job is to reason through it: What's the most likely diagnosis? What's the next best step? What's the most appropriate treatment?

Memorization gets you partway there. Clinical reasoning gets you the rest.

Most board review courses teach you the former. The FNP Review teaches you both.

What's Inside the Course

20+ clinical systems, covered completely. Cardiology, pulmonology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, nephrology, neurology, musculoskeletal, dermatology, women's health, pediatrics, geriatrics, psychiatry, infectious disease, and more. Every system is covered with board-focused depth — not a textbook overview, but a targeted review of exactly what appears on the exam.

Board question breakdown videos. For every clinical system, we walk through actual board-style questions — not just the answers, but the reasoning. Why is A wrong? Why is C the best answer even though B looks right? What's the clinical principle that makes this question easy once you see it?

Study strategy modules. How to build a study schedule. How to use active recall. How to manage test anxiety. How to approach questions you're not sure about. The cognitive science of learning, applied to board prep.

Private community access. A dedicated community of FNP students preparing for the same exam, with faculty available to answer questions. The accountability and support of studying with others, without the scheduling constraints of a live course.

Who Built This

The FNP Review was created by a Quadruple Board-Certified MD. That matters more than it might seem.

When a physician teaches pathophysiology, they're not reading from a review book. They're drawing on years of clinical training, differential diagnosis, and mechanistic understanding of disease. That depth shows in the teaching. It's the difference between knowing that metformin is first-line for type 2 diabetes and understanding why — and being able to apply that understanding to a question you've never seen before.

The course was also reviewed and refined by an FNP who passed their boards in 2024, ensuring that the content is clinically accurate, exam-relevant, and taught in a way that resonates with NP students specifically.
